KioskPros, Inc. Completes Manufacturing of 210 Kiosk Devices for CSX Transportation

Spring Hill, Florida – KioskPros, Inc. has announced the completion of the manufacture of 210 kiosk devices for CSX Transportation. KioskPros was awarded a contract to design and build a robust industrial kiosk which allows locomotive mechanics to interface with state-of-the-art maintenance software. CSX initially purchased three prototype kiosks in 2007 and subjected the prototypes to a thorough and lengthy testing stage of almost 18 months. The successful results of the testing stage allowed CSX to award the major contract of 210 units to KioskPros.

KioskPros, Inc., a Hernando County technology company, has designed and manufactured the kiosk system that gives mechanics the tools to perform scheduled maintenance on locomotives throughout the country.

“The kiosk, equipped with UV light biometric hand readers, ruggedized keyboards, thermal printer, all driven by industry-leading embedded computing technology, gives CSX the opportunity to deploy kiosk into locations in which traditional computers could never be placed,” explained Maurice Ryman, KioskPros president.
